Join Columbus Outdoor Pursuits and Columbus Young Professionals for our Scioto Spring Plog. Plogging is a combination of jogging and picking up litter. It started in Sweden, and is a great way to get litter off our streets, away from our rivers, and get fit at the same time! This event is free. Supplies provided.
Make a difference in Columbus and help keep litter and plastics from ending up in the Scioto River. It matters not only for Columbus, but for those who live downstream (in and out of the river).
Meet at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park (near the rock climbing wall) for inspirational words from Plogolution's founders, grab a trash bag and gloves, then jog or walk through nearby neighborhoods to clean up litter.
There will be 2 planned routes available starting at Scioto Audubon Metro Park: a 3 -4 mile run and a 1.5 mile walk. The routes are designed to hit litter "hot-spots" and positively impact nearby neighborhoods.
Finish at Plank's Bier Garten at 12:00pm for lunch & drinks (888 S High St, Columbus, OH 43206)!
